Peggy Sue

Pye

Stacey is another cat who through neglect caught an eye infection so bad that her eye had to be removed. Stacey is a friendly and loving cat that does not let her disability bother her.

Little Peggy Sue had to have her front leg amputated as a kitten. She is an independent little cat who moves around well despite her disability.

Pye is a blind cat who needs regular attention. She is a quiet girl who likes her own space but manages well with her blindness.

Lacey

Lacey

Lilly

Prince

Lacey is yet another cat that lost an eye due to illness and infection as a stray kitten. Her friendly and loving nature makes Lacey a popular cat at the sanctuary.

Blind Lilly came to the shelter with badly infected eyes. Recently one had to be removed and with the other eye totally blind too little Lilly has had to bravely learn to find her way around. She is a sweet and gentle girl who loves to be held.

Prince is a beautiful long haired cat that is blind in one eye after being shot by an air rifle. Despite being a victim of such abhorrent cruelty Prince is a loving and trusting cat that is full of affection.

Sadie Lady

Stevie

Jamie

Totally blind sadie Lady leads a perfectly normal life, still managing to climb and play with the other cats. This brave and sweet natured cat keeps her beautiful coat in perfect condition but loves a little extra help and will sit on our lap for a lovely brush and a stroke.

Totally blind Stevie came to the sanctuary scared and disorientated. It took nearly 6 months before we could approach him . Finally we managed to gain his trust and and now he actually enjoys a cuddle with volunteers and find his way around the main yard. This strong boy is a fighter through and through and is in fact one of the largest and most robust cats in the sanctuary.

Jamie is a shy cat who has been at the sanctuary a long time, please secure his future care by sponsoring him.

Oscar

 Tobina

Oscar was found as a kitten inside a dustbin. His front paw was badly infected and crawling with maggots so sadly he lost part of it. Oscar does not let this slow him up though and happily jumps from surface to surface around the cattery.

Little Mary was born blind and copes well with her disability. She has now been spayed and is settling well into life at the sanctuary.

Tobina was born blind and has fought several illnesses in her short life. Help us to give her the special care she needs by sponsoring her

ellie abigail

Snowy

Ellie

Abigail

Snowy had a very bad car accident that  left him with a severely broken leg that has not set well. He had his tail removed and is learning to cope with his disability and trust humans again.

This is little Ellie a gentle cat that often goes unnoticed by visitors as she likes to find a quiet place for herself.

Abigail is quite a character. A very vocal and independent cat she likes to tell us when she wants something! An unresolved skin condition means that Abigail has to be continually monitored.

sooty

Costa

Sooty

Snowball

Despite being a stunningly beautiful cat Costa here has failed to find a home . The main problem with Costa is that he just doesn't like people very much yet. Despite spending almost his entire life at the sanctuary, two years on and Costa has not learnt to enjoy being stroked and cuddled, so when visitors  arrive he simply hides. We hope that in the future he may decide that humans aren't so bad. A car accident as a kitten left Sooty with a badly damaged from paw which is now twisted. Sooty manages well with his disability and keeps in good health but still finds it hard to feel confident around people. Snowball is another beauty that has not taken to human company yet and always hides away when visitors arrive. Because of this she is very unlikely to find a home . We hope that Snowball will grow in confidence so that one day she will find the home she deserves.

pansy

V.I.P

Zoe

Pansy

V.I.P came to the sanctuary after falling from a high balcony many floors up. Although not paralysed he does now walk with a severe limp and has internal damage which means that he is now incontinent. He is a beautiful and proud cat that has settled well in to the sanctuary and never makes a fuss when he has his regular baths.

Zoe is a very special and very brave cat that suffers from a rare disorder called Cerebellar hypoplasia, which affects the nervous system and causes her to have problems with her balance. Despite her rather unusual "wobbly" walk though Zoe manages really well and stays fit and healthy. After a year at the sanctuary she is slowly learning to trust the volunteers and we look forward to the day when she will enjoy being stroked.

Pansy was rescued from a hotel by our friend and supporter Anne-Mari. Having suffered some sort of blow to the head which left her with a damaged eye and a servere wound in her mouth she then spent a week recovering at the vets. Now healing well Pansy remains a trusting and affectionate kitten that loves her cuddles.
