bonita

beanie

bertie

Bonita, Born in 2007, Bonita is another cat who has had a few teeth removed and now needs a soft food diet. She still manages to eat a few dry biscuits, she enjoys the crunchiness!

Beanie is a shy girl with a fondness for water. Beanie finds trusting us quite difficult but on occasion has befriended certain visitors. She's choosey !

Bertie is an adult male cat. He is deaf, so will require a special home where he is safe from roads and other dangers.  We think Bertie also suffers with other disabilities as he has a slight wobble and tilts his head back when walking. He is the most affectionate of cats and has won over quite a few visitors. A gentle and good natured cat that would suit a home with a family.

costa

ellie

emily

Despite being a stunningly beautiful cat Costa here has failed to find a home . The main problem with Costa is that he just doesn't like people very much yet. Despite spending almost his entire life at the sanctuary, two years on and Costa has not learnt to enjoy being stroked and cuddled, so when visitors  arrive he simply hides. We hope that in the future he may decide that humans aren't so bad. Ellie remains a very shy cat but has become a little less reserved. She now allows us to approach her and is beginning to trust us a little more. She is a sweet natured girl who would do well in a quiet home with a patient owner. Ellie also loves the company of dogs! A very healthy cat. Emily has been at Argos for a few years. She was quite shy with people to begin with and it has taken a while for her to be confident enough to trust people. She is now a very friendly girl who rushes to welcome visitors to the cattery.

fluffy

gladys

hoppy

Fluffy is a big fluffy girl by name. She is frightened of human contact and hides away all day. She is a tall long haired beautiful girl who is unlikely to find a home unless we can gain her trust. Gladys, having a sensitive tummy and teeth problems means Gladys has to be monitored regularly. Normal soft food can cause Gladys to have an upset tummy and dry biscuits can sometimes be too hard for her to eat. Gladys requires a soft food for cats with sensitive tummies. Our wonderful friends from the Norwegian group Support Argos have given little Hoppy a fresh start in every way for 2013. Hoppy was found left for dead in the middle of a busy street. His leg had been crushed and left paralysed. After being neutered in November the vets decided that the leg would never regain any feeling and that the best option for Hoppy was an amputation. He had grown into a healthy and strong cat and so with the help of funds raised by his followers at Support Argos Hoppy had his operation to amputate the leg at the shoulder. The operation was a huge success and brave little Hoppy is flying around the sanctuary at great speed on is three legs.

jamie

jake

jodie

Jamie is a shy cat who has been at the sanctuary a long time. Jamie is a quiet boy, but has finally begun to come out of his shell. His confidence is growing the older he gets.please secure his future care by sponsoring him. Jake is 9 years old and missing his back right leg and some toes from his back left leg. He was caught in a trap as a kitten and so an amputation was necessary  Jake came to Argos when his owner became ill and has settled well . He is a gentle quiet boy who has chosen himself a favourite basket. Following a road accident Jodie was rescued by an Argos supporter. SadlyJodie had an operation to remove her front right leg which was necessary.
On arriving at Argos she was very timid but has blossomed in to a very affectionate and sociable cat. Her disability does not impede her at all and she enjoys the freedom of the shelter.

keo

lazarus

Keo is a very sociable boy he's approximately six years old. Keo was brought to the shelter after he was found hanging around a local taverna and was considered to be a nuisance. Keo is deaf and is now safe in the shelter but he would make a lovely companion cat for someone who can give him lots of attention. Keo would need a new home without any other cats as he is also FIV positive but this should not preclude him from living a full and happy life. Lazarus was found by Adrian and Gaynor in June 2013 whilst on holiday in Cyprus in the garden of their home. He was tiny, very emaciated, nose all
bunged up and he was just sat under a bush not moving.  Argos collected the kitten and taken to the vet for checkup. The vet's diagnosis was that he
must have ingested some food with poison.  He was given the necessary treatment and taken to foster care to recover.  The effects of the poison of
course had destroyed some back teeth and he had them removed as soon as he was strong enough. His name was given to him because he was dying and raised from the dead to become this beautiful kitten.
