| Kinder was born approx in 2006. A small terrier cross possibly a small Schnauzer. Kinder arrived at the shelter already expecting pups. She was a good mum and very gentle. Kinder has blossomed into a very nice dog who adjusts at any situation. | Pointer cross Lolly was the victim of a hit and run accident and is still clearly shaken by her ordeal. Slowly she is learning to trust people and has formed a close bond with the volunteers that care for her. New owners will need to give this little girl lots of patience and understanding so she can rebuild her confidence. | Leila was born with
no eyes and her owners felt unable to cope with her.
Despite her disability Leila does everything that a
normal happy dog does, she plays, walks on the lead
and can even fetch her toys. She has learnt to trust everyone and the sanctuary and grown familiar with her surroundings in the cattery area. Having grown up in this environment Leila best friends are now all cats! |

| Molly is a pointer that came into the sanctuary having been obviously used as a breeding dog. No longer wanted she was then heartlessly abandoned. Molly has settled in well at the sanctuary and is finally able to enjoy time for herself without puppies. She is a quiet gentle dog that really deserves a sponsor. | This is a rare picture of Argos dog Mavrou, as after some months she is still a scared and unapproachable dog. After being rescued from appalling conditions in a cramped and filthy cage it was decided that this dog needed some freedom and to be given the chance to come to humans when she can finally learn to trust. With the run of the outside area and the patience of staff members Mavrou is slowly learning that she will not be locked up again and that an outstretched hand means a stroke and not a beating . She wants so much to come close and enjoy the attention that the others dogs get and we hope that in time this will happen. | Born November 2009 Millie is one of a litter of 8 Wolfhound terrier cross puppies. The bravest of the litter she loves to play. Millie has already spent 2 years at the sanctuary. |

| Marcos is a friendly cross breed dog born late 2008. He gets on well with other dogs. Marcos has already been with us for the last 3 yars. He does have a good life at the sanctuary. Until a permanent home is found for him, he welcomes any sponsors! | Mickey is a large hound cross breed that gets on well with all other dogs and people. Again this is a great family dog that loves to play and would suit an active home. | Natalie is a quiet and gentle dog that gets on well with others but rarely joins in the fun. After some time at the sanctuary she has grown more aloof and is gaining to much weight as she spends a great deal of time sitting alone. Sponsorship will benefit Natalie until a family can be found that will give this little dog the attention she deserves and teach her to have fun again . Perhaps someone out there may even devote some time to some special walks on her own? |

| Ozzy is a male terrier cross born May 2010. He is playful with other dogs but can sometimes be a little shy around people. | Pauly is a big boisterous handful of a dog that may wait a long time to find the perfect home. Brought in as an abandoned puppy covered in ticks Pauly hit trouble straight away when his rough and tumble play fighting with the other puppies left him with a severely wounded ear. Although the stitches healed well and Pauly has calmed down somewhat now fully grown he is still a big bundle of fun that is longing for a family with loads of energy to give him the exercise he needs and join in his games. | Ralph is a 3 year old hunting dog cross that has an incredibly sweet nature. Ralph does not like to be left alone for long periods of time so we are looking for a home where he will have the company of his owners or other dogs. |

Sonny is a cross breed Labrador. He was born in January of 2010. He is a medium size dog that socializes well with other dogs. | Steadman is a friendly and gentle dog yet after 3 years is still being overlooked by adopters. He always greets people with a wagging tail and plenty of affection but for some reason seems not to get noticed. You can show this wonderful dog that he is cared for by sponsoring him. |

| Theo is a pointer cross born waith a prominent jaw. Born in approx 2008, he would make a good family pet, unfortunatley Theo is always overlooked by people and has been living at the sanctuary for almost 4 years now. | Thunder was a victim of a terrible and barbaric attack and has spent most of his young life at the vets. After his attack Thunder lost vision and hearing and also suffered broken back leg. Now in the care of the sanctuary and with his sight and hearing returned he is receiving daily physio in order to build his muscles until the time comes that he is strong enough to go on to a new home where he will be safe and loved for the rest of his life. | Zoyia is a medium size mix breed born in 2005. Through no fault of her own she has found herself without an owner now. Unwanted in her twilight years. It is sad that a lovely dog, so late in her life, has found herself left in a shelter. She is nervous at first of strangers because she is confused. |
